About Equanomics
Equanomics is the fusion of the words equal and economics. Our organization was formed to take on the economic challenges facing this country. The current structure of our economy is destroying people's lives and threatening our future.
There is a lot of talk about the middle class, creating jobs and strengthening our economy. Politicians flap their gums, the media makes sound bites and we eat up every word. Or maybe we choose to ignore it and resign ourselves to the status quo. In the meantime, the typical family has gone from being able to live comfortably on a single income to struggling to make ends meet with two. It is our belief that the best solution to our economic situation is a more equitable distribution of wealth. When more people have an ownership stake and a say in their future, we will return to a participatory democracy; not one sold to the highest bidder. America needs to become a country of owners rather than a country of employees who serve a wealthy minority and Equanomics is here to help.
Traditional startup businesses face a 95% failure rate. Equanomics provides an environment for small companies to flourish through a partnership with a growing network of co-ops. We enable people to become business owners regardless of their work experience or savings. It is our firm belief that the best interest of the majority of people can only be served by a strong network of locally owned businesses. Our intent is to create thriving local economies owned and operated by members of each community. We demonstrate the benefits of cooperation, show people the power they possess and enable them to live lives of their own design with unlimited possibilities.
